APOS NEWS

The Australian Paediatric Orthopaedic Society meets in October 2008 in Kingscliff, Queensland (just south of Gold Coast, just north of Byron Bay). Idyllic seaside location during school holidays!

Programme:

Thursday, Friday 2 & 3 October Instructional Course Lecture Series
Saturday, Sunday 4 & 5 October APOS Meeting (open meeting)

 

 


The Instructional Course is ideal for Accredited Trainees to learn more Paediatric Orthopaedics and is also refreshing for those actively practicing. The Course comprises didactic lectures by experts as well as small group interactive tutorials. The teaching series has a 2 year curriculum to cover most paediatric orthopaedic conditions.

Guest Lecturers for 2008 are Dr Deborah Eastwood from the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London, U.K., and Professor Bill Cole from Toronto, Canada

The APOS Annual Scientific Meeting is open to all members of the AOA.

Registrars are encouraged to have a special interest in Paediatric Orthopaedics. AOA Accredited Fellowships are available in Australia in Adelaide (Dr Peter Cundy), in Sydney (Dr David Little) and in Melbourne (Professor Kerr Graham).
